Street Kingz Classic / Seller’S Guide
A California seller’s checklist
Prepare vehicle details, ownership information and pickup arrangements.
Identify the vehicle and seller
Gather year, make, model and vehicle identification details. Be ready to establish ownership and authority to sell. An estate, trust, lien or missing document can change the transfer process.
Check current DMV instructions
California requirements depend on the vehicle and circumstances. Review official DMV title-transfer guidance and Notice of Transfer and Release of Liability instructions. Do not assume a vehicle’s age resolves every paperwork question.
Agree on details before pickup
Confirm purchase price, payment, included parts and how pickup will work. Tell the buyer about access restrictions and whether the vehicle rolls, steers and brakes.
Keep a record
Keep copies of the completed sale and transfer documents appropriate to your transaction. Remove personal belongings and check storage compartments before the vehicle leaves.
Use official resources
This is general preparation, not a substitute for DMV instructions or advice about your specific transaction. Use the California DMV links below to check current requirements.
